About Line Upon Line Studios
Line Upon Line Studios came together from several different parts of my life that I never necessarily expected would lead to the same place.
When I first attended college, I studied drafting and architecture. I have always enjoyed buildings, design, and figuring out how things fit together. Years later, I returned to school and changed direction, studying networking and programming instead. Eventually, I discovered 3D modeling and printing, which gave me a way to combine the creative and technical sides of both of those experiences.
Family is also a big part of why this business exists. My life requires me to be a stay-at-home parent, so traditional work doesn’t always provide the flexibility I need. I wanted to find a way to help support my family while still being available for the responsibilities that come first. Line Upon Line Studios has allowed me to build something of my own while working around those needs.
The name Line Upon Line Studios has special meaning to me. It comes from the scriptural teaching that we learn and grow “line upon line,” gaining a little at a time. I also love how naturally that idea fits 3D printing. Every model I make is literally created one line at a time and one layer at a time. Slowly, those individual lines come together to create something much larger.
That is also how I approach the business itself—learning, improving, and building a little at a time.
Today, I primarily create 3D-printed religious home décor, including temple-inspired models and night lights. Rather than trying to produce exact architectural replicas, I focus on creating thoughtful and recognizable representations that capture the character and beauty of the buildings that inspired them.
Every design goes through modeling, printing, testing, and refinement here in my small studio. I’m continually learning and working on new designs, and I hope the collection continues to grow right along with the business.
Thank you for visiting Line Upon Line Studios. When you purchase something from my shop, you’re supporting a small family business and allowing me to continue creating while still being there for the people who need me most.
