1. Overview & Business Operations

Line Upon Line Studios LLC specializes in custom 3D design and manufacturing. These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, and contributors of content.

2. Product Characteristics, Material Care & Manufacturing

  • 3D Printing & Assembly Nature: Our physical products are custom manufactured using additive manufacturing (3D printing). Multi-part models and complex designs are post-processed, fitted, and joined using specialized adhesives (gluing) as part of the standard manufacturing process.
  • Surface & Material Variations: Due to the nature of 3D printing and manual assembly, minor surface variations, layer lines, seam lines, or subtle cosmetic differences are inherent to the production process and are not considered defects.
  • Material Properties & Heat Care: We primarily manufacture products using PLA and PETG thermoplastics. PLA items have specific heat sensitivities. Products made from PLA must not be subjected to extreme heat or prolonged direct high-temperature sunlight (such as inside a hot vehicle or on a car dashboard). Temperatures exceeding 130°F (55°C) may cause structural warping or damage. Line Upon Line Studios LLC is not liable for product deformation caused by improper thermal care or high-heat exposure.
  • Component & Hardware Variations: Integrated hardware, bases, fixtures, electrical components, or hardware accessories (such as night light bases, lighting modules, or hardware fasteners) may vary slightly in appearance, brand, or feature set (e.g., color-changing capabilities, base shape) based on supplier availability and component updates. Product imagery represents the design style and general function, but exact hardware components supplied are subject to minor functional or cosmetic variations without prior notice.
  • Color & Display: We make every effort to display product colors and textures accurately. However, actual colors may vary slightly depending on monitor settings and filament material batches.

3. Orders, Custom Requests & Pricing

  • Pricing Adjustments: All prices listed on our website are subject to change without notice.
  • Custom Order Policy: In general, we do not accept custom design requests or outside commissions unless a product page explicitly states that customization options are available for that item.
  • Order Acceptance: We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order placed with us for any reason, including suspected fraud, unauthorized reseller activity, or inventory errors. If an order is canceled after payment, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

4. Shipping, Production & Bulk Orders

  • Fulfillment Times: Custom products are manufactured upon order placement. Estimated production and shipping timelines provided at checkout are targets, not guaranteed dates.
  • Bulk & Large Orders ($200+): High-quantity or multi-item orders require extended manufacturing runtimes, machine setup, and dedicated material allocation.
  • Orders totaling $200 to $499.99 are subject to a 50% restocking fee upon cancellation or return once production has begun.
  • Orders totaling $500 or more are classified as high-volume bulk orders and are strictly final sale and non-returnable once manufacturing has begun.
  • We strongly advise customers to order a single-item sample first to confirm sizing, material, and finish before placing large bulk orders.
  • Carrier Claims & Damage: Line Upon Line Studios LLC is not directly responsible for carrier transit damage, but will file insurance claims on behalf of buyers who report damage within 48 hours of receipt and provide complete photo documentation of both the outer packaging and damaged products.
  • Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing and shipping information for all purchases made at our store. We are not responsible for lost packages resulting from incorrect addresses provided by the buyer.

5. Intellectual Property & Creative Commons Attribution

  • Original Work: Unless otherwise noted, all original content on this site—including custom 3D models, designs, digital files, product imagery, brand logos, and written text—is the exclusive property of Line Upon Line Studios LLC and is protected by copyright laws.
  • Third-Party & Creative Commons Models: Some 3D models, architectural designs, or digital assets offered or displayed on this website are produced under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) or similar open-source licenses.
  • Attribution & Irrevocable Licensing: We respect the work of original creators. Proper credit, creator attribution, and links to the respective license terms are explicitly provided on the product purchase page for each applicable item. Under standard Creative Commons license terms, rights granted prior to any subsequent licensing changes by an original author remain valid and irrevocable for assets lawfully acquired under those open-source terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

Line Upon Line Studios LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our website or products, including product degradation caused by improper thermal storage or environmental misuse. Our total liability for any claim arising out of your purchase shall not exceed the price paid for the specific item in question.
